Madeira Island from everybody to everybody?

Madeira Island from everybody to everybody?

We do not make these types of comments or publications, but the situation is troubling. Madeira cannot survive without tourism, but it does not give the right to some “tourists” to do everything they want without respecting our nature and local laws. Not only puts in question the destination Madeira for the next generation of visitors as those who work directly and indirectly in tourism.

All stories have two or more versions. We believe that those who do not comply and respect Madeira are not the only guilty ones. There is a lack of local authorities to act and raise consciousness as we educate children, imposing simple and basic rules, but also creating alternatives depending on the situation. Without action, what took decades to achieve will be quickly taken away and destroyed, just like how fire destroys what it comes across.

Everything changes depending on our perspective.

Everything changes depending on our perspective.

We wrote a post six days ago about the difficulty of seeing Seixal's natural rocky pools up close, but this is one of the spots where we can have a stunning view. Changing our perspective can sometimes give us a completely different view and make it seem like we're in a different place.

What sometimes happens to us when we change our outlook, we see the things differently.

The way we handle problems and mistakes makes a difference. Things don't always go as planned.

These dear customers booked a tour through a platform two years ago. My colleague was sick, and I was contacted to do the tour, which I accepted. However, I mentioned that there may be a lack of space for six customers on our Discovery. We made the decision to return to the starting point and not continue the tour after approximately 40 minutes of riding due to the limited space.

Our primary objective is to provide a great experience, and if there are any discrepancies, it's best to avoid insisting on or continuing the tour. Everything was treated with professionalism and ethics, and after two years they returned to Madeira and booked with us, which leaves us very proud.

Madeira's beauty was a great help to us in completing another beautiful tour and proudly announcing another satisfied family. They arrived on Aida Prima cruise ship and had a pleasant day on the island, where they took the cable car, visited the old town, and farmers market before starting our Jeep tour. Our aim was to provide a great experience in a short time, while demonstrating the finest and authentic Madeira.

Obrigado!

EN - Great half day tour over a small but very varied part of the island. Edgar, our very friendly and cool driver and "expedition leader, showed us the corners of " his" island, which does not go to every tour bus. Fishing village, breathtaking views, the steepest roads ever, view over Nun´s Valley and a stop to a bar for Nikita and Poncha included. Supported with lots of interesting information, little stories and humor! Offroad sections were also there...especially exciting for the kids! As the end of the skywalk on the highest cliff "in Europe", a great day - also thanks to Eddy! Obrigado!
